We got a late start leaving Clinton yesterday.  We ate one last time at DQ and pulled out of town at 11:45 p.m..  Yesterday was an uneventful drive.  We arrived in Limon, Colorado around 10 p.m. for the night.  Rachel will say the best thing that happened was the restaurant charging Richard and I for senior citizens meals.

We left Limon at 9 a.m. today and stopped in Loveland,  Colorado for lunch with Jeff, Karen, and Alyssa Wilson.  We enjoyed our short visit with our friends.  Traveled through Wyoming today.  Again, not a very eventful day.  Saw a few antelope along the way.  Once we headed west in Wyoming, the surroundings changed and the area was green, beautiful, and the weather is a cool 65. Oh, we have been very pleased with the gas mileage on the Nissan.  We actually got gas in Woodward yesterday and didn't have to fill up until Chugwater, Colorado - 36 mpg.  AMAZING.

We plan to make it close to the Canadian border tomorrow, but not exactly sure where that will be.  We are averaging about 500 miles per day, so it is looking more like we will arrive in Alaska Monday or Tuesday.

We are doing well and enjoying our travels.  I'm glad to report the Charlie is a real trooper and a great dog in the car.  The vet had given us some "calming" medicine just in case but it has not been needed.  He is content and sleeps almost all the way.  He hasn't even seem to mind staying in the hotel.

We appreciate all the text messages and all the prayers that we feel and know are coming our way.

Well I'm saying goodnight.  THUNDER UP!  Hope to post some more tomorrow.

  2. The contract is a year to year contract. Richard says at least 2 years.
