Thursday: We left Lethbridge and traveled to Calgary. We had a very nice patio lunch with Richard's friend from college, John C. It was great to catch up and see John. Thanks for lunch John. Traveling was very interesting. We made a couple of wrong turns and had to backtrack. Got off for gas and had to backtrack. Encounterd road construction and an overturned Watermelon truck. All these things caused us to get to Grand Prairie - Canada (No we are not completly lost, lol) at 11:30 p.m. A long day and very tired. The sun was just going completely down when we arrived. We saw many deer along the way, but no moose, YET. For all you Baker Hughes people we saw a very large Baker Hughes facility and thought of all of you, tried to take a picture but not sure we got a good picture.
Speaking of pictures, I promise that as soon as we stop early enough and have good internet service, I will post pictures. It is amazing to be driving and see no mountains and go over a hill and the whole surroiunds change.
As for Charlie, well he is still a good traveling dog, however he has had enough. For the dog who always jumps in the car to go, now you have to pick him up and put him in and he just looks at you, like really we have to go again.
We are all holding up well, not killing each other - yet..lol...Glad we have an extra driver with us. We discussed last night that if we wanted to travel 500 miles per day we are right on schedule, if we wanted 600 we are behind.
According to Richard, today (Friday - I think that's today) we will enter mountains and probably the progress will be slow. We still hope to make Fairbanks by Monday.
Keep praying for us. We love all of you and miss you..Be blessed.
